Firstly, I just rediscovered my Dreamwidth password and decided I'd better go through my inbox and have a look and see what I've missed over the past...almost a year! Yikes.

In typical 2017 fashion we lost power at 10.30pm on New Year's Eve. We were able to scramble for some candles and torch apps on phones and quickly ascertained that the entire ( Read more... )

Happy New Year!!! It's WAY too cold for fireworks here. It's actually too cold to walk to the mailbox. Haha Sounds like you had a lovely New Year's Eve! Hope 2018 is kind to you and your loved ones. *hugs*

Hope you and your family had a good festive season too, despite the
extreme cold weather, which I've been seeing about on the news. And I did see that some places had cancelled their fireworks because it was just too cold. The weather looks just awful. It's been a nice summer here so far, but this Saturday we are due for our first 40C day. So that's... 104F which is just TOO hot. If only we could give you a few of our degrees! I would happily give you 55F. :D

That sounds like a great New Years Eve. Good that the teen got her fireworks on TV as well :D

It was pretty chilled and low key...at least until the power cut! But we didn't want anything hectic this year, so it was kind of perfect. The teen in this case is a fifteen year old boy (step-grandson) and he was much relieved that the power turned back on right at the critical moment! He even posted a thank-you FB comment to the power company! ♥

Sounds like a suspense-filled way to start the new year! And Happy New Year to you too : )
We had a much frostier introduction to 2018 with -26C. I think I could do with a little of your heat and sunshine right about now!

Thank you. I hope your festive season has been a good one too.

We've had a nice summer so far, but we're due our first 40C (104F) day this coming Saturday. I've already offered to give Twnchesterangel who lives in North Dakota 55F of those degrees! Their weather's in the minus 20s too. Maybe you can split it between you and at least both get up to Zero! :D :D

LOL! How very Solomon of you : ) Yes, I might need to take you up on that too, supposed to turn into a real deep freeze on the weekend. Sounds like a good time to curl up on the sofa and read some fic, right?
