Day 2: Favourite supporting female character
Donna Moss
She is probably the most sympathetic (and normal!) character on The West Wing. I like that despite not being 'in' the White House inner circle, she is able to keep up and ask questions. She is very intelligent, confident, and doesn't hold back when she thinks something is morally dubious or just plain stupid. She brings Josh Lyman (uber arrogant Dept Chief of Staff) down a few pegs, making him a better person just by virtue of him understanding her worth. I also enjoy that she has a proper story within the series, despite being a minor character. She is not just written off as a love interest. She truly grows into a position that she has worked for and deserves. Also she is hell funny.
Josh Lyman: I don't need a doctor.
Donna Moss: Are you a doctor?
Josh Lyman: No.
Donna Moss: Then be quiet.
