Well I think I can tell you now...I sent that letter.
ROFL
No, I love how claims to be a goth is last next to wears a pin that says I'm a goth. I love that Budhism and, "philosophy", are evil cults. But nothing tops Count Chocula. I've never heard of any Goth eating Count Chocula to be more Goth, have you?
Well, as of the past 5-10 years, so many self-appointed "goths" have absolutely no interest at all in horror [whether fictional or psychologically real], listen primarily to disco with a small garnish of duende, and are mostly concerned with publically flaunting their alleged levels of sexual kink and synthetic designer wardrobes, that I've realized it's just time to move on and let them have the term. Because as is the case with "punk," such a term is simply the semantic component of an empty uniform, the dried-out husk that True Art has long since fled, quicksilver-like, for greener pastures, as the insidious hooks of Marketing descend to commodify its previous body into irrelevance.
No I haven't and it did sound ridiculous. Goth's try to out do eachother, and it's like if you don't have a copy of THE BONEHOUSE, every Bauhaus bootleg, and everything that SKINNY PUPPY has put out then your just whinny. So, the idea that you can just eat Count Chocula, seemed absurd. But, every Goth I meet from now on will be asked this question.
