We actually played quite poorly today but still got the job done with a 1-0 win courtesy of Sexy Yasu, ;D Adelaide should have scored two or three; they had a header hit the underside of the bar and come back out just before half time and then two great chances in injury time but they only got one of their shots on target through the whole match and we're clearly the more skilled side so I think we deserved to go through, ;D
Now the squad will leave Toyota City and head east to Yokohama to face Manchester United, ;D I would love for us to get a shock win but I'm just glad we got this far to be honest, I was thinking last night about how, when I started following Gamba properly at the start of last season, I would never have dreamed that we would be in the Club World Cup. Even this time last year when the Scum were going up against AC Milan, I never would have thought that we'd be in a similar position just one year later. Heck, even six months ago when Bare fucked off to the UAE I thought our Champions League campaign was dead and buried so it really goes to show how much quality we actually have and how much of a talented manager Nishino is. With all that in mind, I wouldn't count us out of causing an upset on Thursday; of course, it's a long shot and if United play anywhere near the top of their game and/or Gamba don't turn up then we'll get raped in the backside by the likes of Ronaldo and Judas but if they field a remotely weakened side and we're at the top of our game then we can take them by surprise and then you never know, haha...
