What a match! Adelaide seemingly didn't turn up. They set their stall up to defend (as expected) and we played around the stall and ripped them to shreds. Both Lucas and Endo scored one and set one up while Michi fired a screamer of a volley through a crowded box and into the bottom corner. FUCKIN' CLASS.
Should have been 4 as well from a sweet free kick from Yasu but the stupid ref/linesman gave a crap offside decision against Roni when he never even touched the ball, :/ Their keeper should have walked as well after he BLATANTLY took Lucas out when he was clear through on goal with no defenders in sight. :/ He got his second booking of the knockout stages and will miss the second leg anyway, but STILL. XD
However, 3-0 is 3-0 and it's one heck of a good lead to take down under next week. Barring an absolute copycat collapse of footballing knowledge, we should be taking the ACL trophy back to Japan. ;D
If we come away with at worst a 2 goal (or 3 goal if we score one) defeat then we'll be off to play in the Club World Cup in Japan this December with a possible quarter-final rematch against Adelaide and if we win that one then we'll be in the semi-finals against some small club that nobody has ever heard of, Manchester United. ;D
