It's all about the small things
As a low-level 3D visualization guy for architects, it's always a blast when you figure out even the most obvious tricks the first time. So we were looking to splash out some money on some 3d trees for models, when I remembered that 3D Max has a free alternative. Given that the results are pretty terrible, it was pushed aside when I couldn't figure out how to improve the look. A couple of calls to friends later and I could find the hidden textures and change them to my own made ones. Ugly trees become purdy ones for $0.00
Also gives me an excuse to get out of the office to photograph stuff for textures. :3
Don't you love days where you suddenly unexpectedly jump hurdles. :D
