I love my bunny

I went on a music downloading binge tonight at Ashley's apartment; God bless high-speed internet! I downloaded all but one song of Fiona Apple's Extraordinary Machine, a ton of Death Cab for Cutie, some Modest Mouse, Muse, Wizard of Oz songs, and some of Nirvana's Bleach album. Woot!

See, I've been pacing myself with Nirvana; by the time I discovered them, I could have bought all their records at once, but since they weren't going to be making any new music, I wanted to draw out the Nirvana experience for as long as possible. So for a long while I only had Nevermind, then I bought In Utero, then From the Muddy Banks of the Wishkah, and then about six months or a year ago I burned Unplugged in New York. And now, finally, I'm going to listen to Bleach. Which is sad, because all that's left to listen to is box sets or best-of albums (except for Incesticide, but I've heard pretty much all of those songs already). So there will be no new Nirvana for me. But I did manage to make what was out there last, like, seven years, which isn't bad.

I wish I was better at discovering great music. I just don't know what to do to find it. I hate the radio, and it's like, wtf do you look up on LimeWire to discover your new favorite songs? I'm always feeling both overwhelmed and underwhelmed (I don't care that that's not a word) by what's out there, musically. It's sad.

What else. I had to go in and work for two hours on my day off, but it really wasn't a big deal. It sucks that I have to work every day but Sunday this week, though.

I've been having major guilt issues lately. I'm sorry to everyone who's life I make harder. Particularly my mother.

Samhain fell through, surprise surprise. I was pretty disappointed, but there's not much to be done for it now. At least I have a new ritual for my Book, even if I didn't get to do it.

And finally, I have the fiercest craving for sweet and sour chicken from the Mandarin Garden.
