I'll come out swinging with:
Zebraman, Derek: A fitting hero for all the ultrageeks out there, Miike's hero wears a Zebraman outfit (a show that was canceled after 7 episodes) in order to escape into his fantasy life. And of course he's thrown into the battle against Evil.
Zoolander: Magnum was indeed all that. As dumb as he made models look, though, he still didn't make them look dumb enough.
Zoot: Not nearly naughty enough. All talk and tease. I say, put your virginity where his mouth is!
Zaphod Beeblebroz: I think movie Zaph was OK, though a divergence from the Archetype. He wasn't self-aware enough to be as self-centered as book/radio/TV Zaph. And I felt a bit too influenced by Beetlejuice.
Zed (from Zardoz): If he's the triumph of the penis over the gun (look up Zardoz in Wikipedia, I'm not making this up - but DO NOT WATCH IT), I vote for the gun. Less bodyhair that way.
