Another aspiration added to my list. This may look easy...it's not.

martial arts, dance, energy, spirituality

It's really difficult to have that much control. You're right, it looks simple but it really isn't. I don't have anywhere near the control to do it.

The movement is so beautiful. I've spent the last few hours going between qi gong, Nia, flamenco, and back...

May not do any of it well, but I do it ;-)

Do you do the energy work for the qi gong, too? I have found that when I involve energy work in any action like that I end up getting more from it than I otherwise would. I end up far more refreshed by the activity.

I would say I put energy work (hard to explain) in all dance/movement forms. That's probably why I've always been attracted to forms of dance that come from ancient cultures where the spiritual energy was integrated...

Or something like that.

Nah, I understand what you mean. Dance is your magic. It's how you relate to the greater whole.

Thanks for saying it so nicely. People ask me if I meditate. I say "I dance." They ask me if I pray. I say "I dance." They ask me if I go to church. "I dance." They ask me if I exercise. I say "I dance."

Whatever that means ;-)

It's like me making stuff. Hats, clothes, photographs, knitting--creativity is my magic.
