General life-related update and ~that~ book project.

 So!

I actually had a bunch of things to say re: what I've been up to lately, but pretty much none of them are things that require sharing, and by the time I finally got around to writing this up, I was all like "Meh." about it.

My Mum had all the surgery she's going to have for a bit, everything went fine, and pending some minor tests and adjusting her meds, things should go smoothly from now on. My Dad is still pretty psycho with the protectiveness (and it's driving both my Mum and I up the wall) but he'll simmer down. Eventually. I hope.
My Grandma is her usual self. (To anyone who just winced in automatic sympathy: have a slice of strawberry cake.)

My tattoo is coming along nicely. I have tickets to the Hertha BSC - Real Madrid match, and it's going to be epic. Watching Children of Dune and Switched at Birth, and both are much better than I anticipated. Especially the former (this has nothing to do with shirtless blue-in-blue eyed James McAvoy. NOTHING.).

AND FINALLY:

Since I am ever so slightly insane (best thing to be, also clinically acknowledged in my case), I've decided that, oh yeah, doing a 365 Books in 365 Days project à la
rushthatspeaks would be a great idea.
However, I'm nowhere near as fast a reader as zie is*, and nowhere near as ambitious, so I'm going to make it easy on myself.

(* = I can read 700 pages or whatever in 4 hours just fine, but I get distracted a lot and need to take breaks for my brain/hand/back/joints, so that doesn't happen very often.)

- Re-reads count
- Manga/comic books/graphic novels count
- Artbooks count as long as I write up a review
- Not every review has to be long or insightful or even useful to others
- I'm not going to associate specific books with specific days, I'll read ahead sometimes and fall behind other times
- Not making it doesn't equal failure. I'll still have read a shit-load of books, which is always a win.

I was thinking of starting on my birthday (next Saturday), but I'm horribly impatient, so I'll probably start tomorrow. ;)
