Two weeks ago my mom picked up the new car to take the van's place in the driveway. My parents got (with influence from me) a 1992 Honda Accord LX 4-door sedan; it has a 2.2L 4-cylinder engine with a 5-speed manual transmission. It has 158,000 miles, and is in pristine condition; it needs some mechanical work but it runs and drives; the clutch is in good shape, too.
Pictures! This car is an amazing run for the money, and every day when I see it in the driveway, I am thankful to the Lord for providing it. I have been practicing consistently with the manual transmission, and I'm getting better at working the clutch in the stop and go motions. Today I practiced more, and I improved my shifting (I was shifting slow), and found the point of grip in the clutch, which is very important for uphill starts. My shifting is getting smoother, and I don't roll much when I start up a hill.
I have learned that I have much to learn in terms of shifting technique, and acceleration. I hope that I can get this down in the next week or two. Updates to come.
