New layout, new colors, new icon
A week or two ago, I did something that was years overdue. I gave my journal a complete revamp. New theme, new colors, and best of all, a new icon. I was bored and sitting around, and I remembered that I hadn't done anything to keep my profile up to date, nor changed the style, theme, or icons for at least 3 years. This bothered me as I've had my journal since 2005, and for a time I had rarely touched it. So, in light of my seeing my neglect, I went through all my account settings, and selected a new theme, layout, and uploaded a new icon to show that my interests don't revolve around one ancient game from '95.
I selected the theme called 'Subway' as it had the best feel for me, and I chose colors that went well with my new icon; this avatar is a screen shot of Ratchet firing a weapon called the Combuster in Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction. I picked it off somewhere on the 'net, and I'm using it for my icon in many places now. I still have the ole Pyro-GX and stuff if I wish to use those, but Ratchet is just awesome. :D
The links I had put up were ancient and not up to date. With the new style I can put them up without them looking like they're running into each other. The Descent BB is the primary hub of communication for the Descent community; Hard Light Productions is the community hub for the Freespace games, and Rainwave is Internet radio I listen to all the time. Insomniac is of course the makers of Ratchet & Clank.
I'm open to feedback or suggestions, especially the sidebar. Overall, I'm liking the new layout and will enjoy it for the months to come.
