Thanks christ for the DVD club, and more so for the off switch.
We settled down to watch Beowulf the recent CGI version half an hour ago. It has now been turned off and put back in it's envelope. And we didn't even get to the first "by my troth!" It just couldn't stand up to the other version we got a month or so ago, which was low tech, low budget and quite a good version. It's just one long demo for the PS game - with some obvious "this will only really work in 3D" scenes.
We are now trying out the Battlestar Galactica DVD psychochicken borrow from a workmate. Let us hope this is more successful.
