I was thinking that it bears a great deal of resemblance to the body armor from Starship Troopers.

Wow, the number of police is ridiculous. I suppose they always serve the purpose of making peaceful demonstrations look non-peaceful. :-p

I'm guessing it also had a lot to do with the fact that it was on the grounds of the US Capitol. They want to make sure nothing goes down there.

Was this on CNN today? I overheard something about Nazi demonstrators while I was making breakfast.
