Metallicar Art
Yes, I am a huge nerd. I've accepted that sad fact many a year ago, but in case you don't realize it, I've decided to share evidence of my nerdly psychosis. I've got a Supernatural theme going on in my classroom library (ignoring everything else going on in the rest of the room since this is an SPN journal). It's not close to done, but with having the same decor all year, the kids like to see the gradaul changes. They love to notice what's new.
So here's what I've got so far...
I'm working on the grass to see what I like so ignore it for now.

Antennae. It's so cute!
There's Dean's steering wheel.

The license plate!
A wide shot to include unfinished background tree. Wait until you see what's on the hidden side...and The Boys.
The one pin you see will be where the top of Dean's head rests. Sam is on the other side of the car. Around the corner (hidden cleverly by the tree) will be a haunted house in the background with the Ghostfacers van parked out front. The tree will get branchier.
I even have a wishing fish. *hides head in shame*
So it's obviously not done, but I'm slowly progressing. I love my squatty-looks-like-a-Buick Metallicar! You can't really see the details in the pictures well, which makes me sad. The fish was going to be a mermaid, but the mermaid torso stumped me so I turned it into a fish. I figured that since I already had an SPN corner, this wouldn't hurt. When The Boys are done (or close to it), I'll add some pictures. Plus, there's a section that's Bobby's living room for kids to help Sam and Dean do research. They're going to write the books they read on these cutouts and stack them to see how much they read over the year. Awesome, right?
