Annoyed

I ordered a sleeper loveseat from Urban Outfitters more than two months ago. It was on back-order so I had to wait for it to come in before it would be shipped out to me. It seems they use a company that only delivers at the exact hours I am working. This company had odd guidelines because they are the only company I've ever heard of with such restricted, ridiculous hours of delivery. The first time they call to set up a delivery, I make it clear that I can only be there if it's at the last possible delivery time. They give the  usual broad window and say they'll call an hour before they are in the area to see if I'm home and if I'm lucky it'll be at the time I need. So I get a call about 1:00, hours before I said I would be available, telling me they are right outside my door and would it be possible to deliver it now. I said no, pointing out I was still at  work and they were supposed to call before showing up. Weeks more pass and after the fourth or fifth time they call to set up a delivery during the exact time I told them I couldn't do it, I get fed up. I contact Urban Outfitters to cancel the damn order because I might as well have that money in my pocket rather than invested in a sofa I can never get delivered. Now, Urban Outfitters is not a quick responder. In the time it takes them to get back to me, I get two more calls about impossible deliveries. So today I get a call from Urban Outfitters saying that they would refund my money. Yay! Problem solved. The next call? From the delivery company saying they were going to do something very unusual for them and deliver on Saturday.  OMFG, if they had done this in the first place, we wouldn't have this problem now because it seems Urban Outfitters hasn't told these people to cancel the order, yet. Since the delivery company isn't answering its phone, I may wake up tomorrow to find two guys with this sofa on my doorstep. Argh!

This wouldn't be such an issue if I loved the sofa, I suppose. The only reason I got it is because it was a sleeper loveseat I could fit through the door of the room I want it in. I live in an older home with very small doorways so furniture size in any room off the main one is an issue. So now it's the debate between telling UO that I want the ugly sleeper sofa that will fit through the door or keeping the order cancelled and hoping to find a prettier one that is thin enough to fit through the door. I've been looking, trust me, and they are always too big!

So annoying.
