I don't have an LJ account so I can only read the unlocked stories but I really liked this story. It brings home the differences in both the boys characters and in their upbringing. I've spent the better half of the afternoon reading your fics after a friend recommended them to me and alls I can say is: wow - great writing. After a flurry of really bad fanfics, it's been refreshing to read some excellent ones for a change.

I'm glad to hear you liked some of my stuff! Though I have to admit to shock that anyone recommended me - I have a very, very small readership (which equates to the 12 or so comments I get per story, if I'm lucky). Yeah, that brings it home. It's easy to see how Sam became the one who left for Stanford. He never really got the whole demon thing, Dean made sure he didn't. Good one.

I don't think people realize to what degree Dean protected Sam from the worst of their life for so long.
