Just called Dean about some guy in Ohio who blew his head off under what could be unusual circumstances. He’s been wanting a regular case, seeing as how the deal-breaking is turning up squat. I can imagine how well that’ll go over with Sam.

Later: Just got off the phone with Sam-Dean’s been getting calls from his dad. Who’s been dead almost two years. Funny how Dean wasn’t the one to tell me this; probably knew I’d tell him to get his head out of his ass. Seems this whole town is getting messages from The Great Beyond via Ma Bell. From what Sam’s told me, “John” has a way to get Dean out of his deal, complete with exorcism. Which checks out, but damned if I know if it’d work. Dean’s desperate enough to try it, though, the idjit. That boy never could take anything his dad said with a grain of salt. *sighs* At least Sam’s there to keep him from doing. . . ah crap.

Man, one of those days when everything happens at once. Busy day in the yard. Jack showed up with his flatbed to load up the carcasses I sold him last week. Missed a couple calls while I was on the forklift. When I did hear it ring, it was Rufus Turner with a lead on Bela. Pissed, too, that he’d had to try three times before I answered. And folks call me cranky.

Anyway, left Jack to finish tying things down so I could call Dean. Don’t figure she’s still got the Colt, but Dean’ll want to talk to her. “Talk.” Heh. If Bela’s still got a pulse after that conversation, I’ll be mighty proud of the boy’s restraint. Assuming he finds Rufus in a chatty mood first. Heh. “Rufus” and “chatty”-never thought I’d use those two words in the same sentence.

Making this quick-time’s running short on us, and we’re on our way to Indiana. For it possibly being his last day on Earth, Dean is being as big a pain in the ass as he can manage. Granted, he had a good point about going in smart, but he was shooting down every idea Sam and I put on the table. Didn’t want to summon Ruby. Didn’t want to listen to her when Sam summoned her anyway. Then the dumbass thought he could sneak off without me. Told him what for on that count. Right before I gave him his distributor cap back. That boy . . . . . . .what the hell is going on now?

Well, turns out the boys got pulled over by a possessed cop. Lucky for us, Dean’s close enough to the fire now he could see the demon’s real face and take it out. Wouldn’t you know this entire damn neighborhood is possessed, too. The boys are out clearing a path, and I’ve got the Divine Sprinkler System ready to go. Dang complicated timer; hope I got it right. Might have to install one of these at the yard-seems like a good precaution. Crap, where’d Ruby come from?

One minute to midnight. Dammit, boys, what’s going on in there? You oughta . . . . .oh HELL.
