(no subject)
wow. it's been a long 2 weeks. and by long, i mean crappy. stress filled and crappy. ups and downs as usual, but more downs than anything else. well most things are ok, except work. work is more stressful than ever. i cannot wait until my vacation which starts 2 weeks from today. state came to our work, and you'd think that since we passed with flying colors our bosses would say well done and give us some breathing room for a little... not the case. they've been piling up the work, and we also do work for another house completely. that makes me mad. why can't they do their own friggin' work!!?!??? so can someone PLEASE do me a favor and go to the teen pregnancy center and TAKE DOWN the bcs sign saying if you're young and pregnant and desperate for a job, we'll take you!?! geez. they have hired 2 pregnant 17 year olds and i guess there is another 17 year old starting today. the problem is, 17 year olds, can't drive, can't do meds, can't do therapies, can't use the lift, etc... so, to sum it up, they are...USELESS!!!! i've said it before, and i still agree, they are WARM BODIES and that is all the bosses are looking for. and now that christopher left, we will probably be having more warm bodies working...but i don't blame him for getting out of there...ok enough about work.
i went to ft. wayne on june 28 to see g.m.i.t. play @ battle of the bands. they did well, as always. ryan went and he agreed they were the best band, by far. well the judges gave them the top score, but they didn't have enough crowd votes to move on. :( maybe next year. of the 10 bands i saw, my brothers' band played the best and sounded the best (of course i prefer them to the butt-rock and metal, etc.). anyway, it was a fun time til we heard they weren't in the top 2. then it sucked.
we had a party for ryan cause he got his greencard. yay for ryan :) funny thing is, we had the party "welcome to america party" on canada day. lol. it was a good time had by all, but our team totally lost the biggest loser the next day cause we had some junkfood. lol. i'm doing much better with the weight loss right now tho, and i hope to keep at it!! i've done some mathematical calculations so it makes it nice when you can estimate things and it makes me feel more positive.
i'm going to go see jake in about 82 days i think! sometime in september, hopefully. that makes me smile. i love my jake. <3
