So I was watching the evening news with my parents and they do a 2 second blurb on the RNC protests. It was something along the lines of: "police were forced to use rubber bullets and gas to control a group of SELF-DESCRIBED ANARCHISTS!." The news caster says it like it's armageddon. Word! Have you seen Bobby's facebook note and the responses? It's rough! Here's another quote I've been getting into (which Nader cited at a rally I attended):

"Freedom is participation in power." -Cicero

Amazing! How can we be free to participate in power when the few and the powerful shield the truth from the masses? Those masses are not free if they are deceived by those who are supposed to represent them, and work for them.

It's sort of like if person A has sex with person B under the pretense that person A is not in a relationship, and it turns out that person A was lying about it. This is nonconsensual sex, because there was dishonesty at play. Person A failed their obligation to get consent from person B. The blind american masses are person B and the powers that be, who lie and abuse in order to get what they want are person A.

Freedom isn't free? Yeah, it can only be attained by uncovering every lie and rebelling against every prejudiced or naive convention that has been forced down your throat. The most free and the most brave in this supposed "land of the free and home of the brave" are folks like Amy Goodman.

Too long. Life sux, then you die; it's ok as long as you die trying your hardest to get free.
