the games to watch
group a: mexico and uruguay are both moving on. even if france wins against south africa, its too far behind in points.
group b: argentina and korea are both moving on. greece would have to win it's next game against argentina, and south korea is playing against nigeria. even if both games end in a tie, south korea would move on based on goal difference.
group c: do or die time. england has it rougher than the us. slovenia, while top of the group, needs a win to clinch its spot and england HAS to win against slovenia if they want to even have a chance to make it. at which point, they have to hope for the US to tie algeria. i think the US has a good chance of beating algeria. i have less hope of the brits beating slovenia. on the other hand, slovenia vs england will be a nice, high stakes game well worth watching.

group d: this one is also another interesting one. while ghana is at the top, germany has to beat ghana in its upcoming game to assure itself a spot. serbia could then take the other spot by beating new zealand. and then it might come out to GD.
