Pretty Music
This piece has been haunting me. Repeat and repeat and repeat --
This was from Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica (major spoilers in the YouTube comments and why haven't you watched it yet?) I admit, a lot of the time I was too busy paying attention to everything else to appreciate the music but this is one of the BGMs that moved me. Just when I was complaining that Kajiura's compositions were starting to sound too alike. I'll shut up now, Kajiura-sama, you deserve every bit of praise being heaped onto you. The (unreleased) original piece was an orchestral one (which makes it even more epic) but this is a great arrangement and rendition. It's dissonant, kind of creepy, yet at the same time heartbreakingly beautiful and I think I'm horrendous at describing music. It's...just an amazing song.
Sayaka's Theme a.k.a That Angsty Celtic Piece (we don't know the actual title yet) is very lovely too. I find it kind of crazy that fans are capable of making all these wonderful recreations of the music from the show ahead of the soundtrack's official release. But I guess if they have the talent and the love for it, anything's possible.
