OPERATION!

Jun 08, 2010 23:07

On the second weekend of the Tertiary Silat Competition, while we we all sitting around and watching random fights, Na'im came up to me and handed me a paper boat, and then told me to shake it.

I was a little confused but I did it anyway.

Then he said, "You rock my boat."

After experiencing the initial urge to headfloor, I decided that I found that incredibly hilarious.

Anyway, regarding the results...let's just say for Team NUS, it's a year we want to pretend never happened. But everyone's keen on making up for what happened, and so the team will be back next year, hopefully in full force, and I want to be right there with them.

Relegated to photographer this year. The evidence of my failtastic photography skills and unfamiliarity with the borrowed camera is as follows:

I don't think I took this one, though, it was probably Nas...I kinda like it

Okay this one just looks kinda wrong.

From Facebook:

Zuraimi: Yus, were you plucking a loose thread?
Yusri: No, I was sticking a Flag Day sticker on his vest.

Keep your dumb comments coming in guys! I'm having a good time lolling.

Surgery tomorrow. I admit, I'm more than a little afraid. But there's not much I can do now, is there? God willing, everything will go smoothly and I'll have a right knee that won't give way anymore. I've also got to fast (not even water? Ouch) before the surgery, which should be a piece of cake after years of observing Ramadan, but fasting out of season is not so fun.

Oh, my cousin came by earlier with his wife and sons, and gave me some advance get-well soon presents - a purple Care Bear (hell if I know what it's name is) and a Snow White balloon. His wife maintains that their two-year-old son picked them out, although I'm pretty sure there's some element of I did it for the lulz in there...Ah, I appreciate it anyway. That bear looks huggable, actually, but I have not been able to confirm that fact, because my youngest sister has captured it and refuses to give it back. This would have been cute, except that she's freaking thirteen, and has therefore stopped being cute enough for me to indulge such silliness. Teenagers. *sniff*

Also, aforementioned two-year-old was wearing a shirt that said "Lock up your daughters." Lol.

random, operation!, lulz
