Funny; I feel like I was juuuuuuuuuuuuust over the age of really getting into it, and I remember how much it all annoyed me the first time around. A couple of my best LJ-fandom-friends got back into MMPR in a big way at the beginning of the year, and it led to some ugly dramaz and yeah. (One of those friends is no longer a friend.) I'll probably never be able to think of it as anything but traumatizing. Which is sad, because apparently its an awesome fandom with very little backbiting and wank. *shrug*
I love reading fic for the show in many of its incarnations, I'm a little leery of the "interacting with other fans" part of fandom, so I'm a bit afraid to ask what your f-list is like.
I'm not sure where you've been reading fic? FF.net or AO3 or a message board or what, so I can't really answer you that. The amusing thing about the fandom and my f-list is that its not just IY people who like it. I've acquired fellow fans of Kids Inc and the BSC who are also sekrit fans. Its like a plague or something, LOL!!
