Renji lashed out with Zabimaru in his extended whip-like form.  He intended to slice through all six enemies standing before him, so he was understandably startled when Zabimaru snapped back in after only five with a mental gasp of pain.

I must say, you know how to push all my right buttons with your writing. Always, always, you have a perfect mixture, a wonderful woven tapestry, of character point of views that feels balanced and complete without any jerking between different characters. You have a marvelous flow between them all that helps tell the larger story

There we go. You have no idea how glad I am to hear that this feels balanced and transitions well. That was what gave me the most trouble in the writing. And I'm always happy to have gotten the characterizations right, since OOC is one of the cardinal sins of writing in my book. So, thank you for that.

This universe is the reason I got an LJ and started putting my fic out there. It's my baby, and I love it, I love doing it. The style...just kinda happened that way and I ran with it. Sorry it isn't always clear, I'm working on it.

*laughs* No, the Zanpakutou-verse (that's the name it's taken on in my head) is nowhere near done. Well, the chapter's done or I wouldn't have posted it, but this is a sandbox I'm definitely not done playing in. There ARE repercussions looming, and at this point even I'm not sure how far they'll spread.

Well your perseverance in the transitions definitely shows. In my book, OOC only happens when a writer doesn't explain it well enough so the reader's believes it. And I'm a devote believer in this case!

The love you have for writing really shows through, and makes it more enjoyable to read, because I can see you care. And its wonderful to find in this mired mud pit called fanfiction.

*grins with glee all the way through the last paragraph* Now I know I'm not going to sleep, my mind will be too busy guessing at possible outcomes and the roads you might travel. It will be a joyful insomnia though! XD

You're going to have to sleep sometime, darling, it's not getting posted anytime soon given that I haven't even started on the next chapter yet. Hell, all I know so far is Renji's due for some misunderstanding-inspired angst, Ichigo needs a clue-by-four, Byakuya Has Issues, and Toushirou would be emo as all get out if it weren't for Hyourinmaru.

*stops, looks over last sentence* Huh. Oops. I think my evil side took over the typing for a minute there. Sorry about that, it's probably not going to help the insomnia thing. Maybe you can pretend you didn't see it?
