TV Tropes meme

I was going to finish off a few fics tonight before I go to bed, but then I realized that I've had about five hours of sleep in the last twenty-four, and if I want to write something that makes sense, I'm going to have to do better than that. In other news, How To Train Your Dragon rules my life right now, and the Iron Man movie soundtrack is totally bitchin'.
...
What? I said I wasn't thinking linearly, didn't I? No? *reads post* No. Oops.

This bit of time wasting is brought to you courtesy (for some reason typing that word is making me think of Yoroiden Samurai Troopers right now) of luxken27.

Pick 20 movies/anime/video games/comic books/literary works/musicals/TV shows/etc. and put their summaries from Better Than It Sounds and WITHOUT CHEATING have your friends guess.

Dude, I could do fifty or more without much problem. I am such a fandom slut. But, whatever. Let's get crackin'.

1. Cyborg Mutie Jesus and a brain-damaged, motormouthed mercenary have morally questionable adventures that involve one of them turning into goo and the other eating him, then vomiting him back up. Hijinx ensue! Cable and Deadpool ickaimp

2. Freak lab accident causes a teenage boy to become not quite undead. This leads him to fight crime caused by dead people alongside his two best friends and, eventually, his older sister. Also, the Big Bad wants to bang the hero's mom. Danny Phantom bookworm_faith

3. Evil billionaire rebuilds family heirloom on top of New York City skyscraper, unleashes Noble Demon creatures that really don't like to get up in the morning. Gargoyles. In order: ickaimp, bookworm_faith and infiniteviking.

4. Kid Detective solves murders after barely escaping his own with a Fountain Of Youth. Detective Conan. In order: ickaimp, bookworm_faith, infiniteviking and luxken27.

5. Bunch of popular superhero ripoffs want to make the world a better place by killing people.

6. Super-centenarian travels to New York to claim a prize.

7. The adventures of various humans who serve as troopers of a stateless police force wearing the ultimate in functional jewelery.

8. A kind English church boy repeatedly rips his arm off to fight a clown. D.gray-man, bookworm_faith and ickaimp

9. A group of androgynous, sexually ambiguous young men pose as florists to cover-up their lucrative business as assassins. Weiss Kreuz, ickaimp

10. To get control of her father's company back from a Corrupt Corporate Executive, a Mad Scientist's Beautiful Daughter becomes a pink-haired Idol Singer, and her younger biological and adopted sisters become her back-up band. They all deal with a crush from the Idol Singer's boyfriend, the annoying punk band that the Corrupt Corporate Executive hired, and everyone's gigantic crazy hair. Jem and the Holograms, ickaimp, infiniteviking and luxken27 (who was the only one not to put a question mark after it).

11. Scrawny young teen stops a seven-generation long war and impresses his dad by eating a raw fish that his best friend spit back up. Cuteness ensues. How To Train Your Dragon, bookworm_faith

12. People fight over a piece of jewelry. A bunch of pot-smoking midgets provide a convincing argument that size doesn't matter. Lord of the Rings, bookworm_faith

13. A spy loses his job and tries to find out why while helping the helpless. Burn Notice, ickaimp and luxken27

14. A Mountie and his deaf, lip-reading dog are sent to clean up the streets of America... politely. Due South, ickaimp, bookworm_faith and luxken27

15. Crime fighters from another universe come to Earth... and play hockey. Mighty Ducks, ickaimp, who officially rocks my socks off right now.

16. Scrawny shrimp is rejected from the army, takes drugs and becomes icon of America. Captain America, bookworm_faith and infiniteviking

17. Terrorists put a very intelligent man in a cave with a box of spare parts. This leads the man to solve unethical business practices of his company. OR: Rich drunk with a heart condition builds flying hotrod, races larger hotrod. Iron Man, infiniteviking (I cannot believe I accidentally put my Marvel OTP back to back. *facepalm*)

18. The tale of the death of an important religious leader, using a strangely diverse cast and anachronistic props. Oh, and it's a rock opera! Jesus Christ Superstar, infiniteviking (Not so much a fandom, just a movie I really like.)

19. A group of FBI agents, including a socially awkward young genius with a schizophrenic mother, a really serious guy with family issues, and a former cop who likes to kick down doors, fly to different parts of the country in order to pretend that they are crazy people. Criminal Minds, ickaimp

20. A bumbling manservant uses non-specified superpowers to protect his unwitting and unappreciative master while taking advice from a dragon that basically speaks in subtext (and ships them). Corny CGI ensues. Merlin, in order: ickaimp, bookworm_faith and infiniteviking.

Plus, a few bonus ones because I thought the descriptions were hilarious:

1. A recovering alcoholic tries to keep a Cowboy Cop, a closet lesbian, a gangsta rapper, and John Munch from taking their frustrations out on rapists and child molesters. Law and Order: SVU, luxken27

2. Crippled Doctor can't decide if he's Batman, Sherlock Holmes, or Nietzsche; solves medical mysteries to keep the crushing ennui at bay only to find that Victory Is Boring. House, in order: bookworm_faith, infiniteviking and luxken27

3. A young woodsman embarks on a mystical quest with an elderly wizard, a beautiful woman who mind-rapes people with her eyes, and a reformed dominatrix. Along the way they collect magical objects, rescue villagers, and try not to doom the world by having sex.

Okay, there you go. As usual, some are total gimmes and some no one will get. Bleach, for a change, is not up there, I'll tell you now. And now I'm going to bed. Fic later, sleep now.
