What, like y'all expected anything else? The way this meme is supposed to work is I provide a blank set of questions and y'all answer them in a comment--and yes, I will include the blank form for anyone who wants to play along--but I thought it'd be more fun to give my answers to start with. And why not? Oh, and I'll be cheating on some of the answers, just 'cause.

3. Where do you live: Mobile, for about the next month. Less than a month, actually, and I've packed about half of nothing. I will not panic, I will not panic, I will not panic...
4: What are you studying/What are you working as: I work as a cashier. (Retail--woo fucking hoo. Really.)
5. What makes you happy: Silly things--blowing bubbles in the back yard, putting together my favorite puzzle...I visited an aquarium in March and was on cloud nine for days. *shrugs* I'm just a big kid, really.
6. What are you listening to now/have listened to last: *checks Windows media player* Mai Kuraki - Time After Time, from Detective Conan Movie 7: Crossroads in the Ancient Capital.

7. What is particularly good/bad about my LJ: The only requirement I ever placed on the content of my lj is that it is mine. This means you never really know what I'll decide to post.
8. An interesting fact about you: I named my third car Bruce, because he was a bastard. No one in real life has ever figured out why that follows without me explaining it to them, but I'll give you a hint: I was obsessed with a particular fandom at the time.
9. Are you in love/have a crush at the moment: No.
10. Favorite place to be: Ah, that changes with where I am and how I feel. I'm pretty much the polar opposite of social, though, so "alone" is a pretty common factor.

I'm not poking fun, by the way. I live down here, I don't take Katrina's aftermath lightly. But that was the first time anyone tried to laugh through all of it, and it still makes me smile.
12. Best time of the year: Winter, hands down.
13. Weirdest food you like: I'm a picky eater. I don't like a lot of weird foods. I'm kind of addicted to Skittles right now, though.
RECOMMEND
1. A film: *grin* Speed Racer. I never thought the Mach 5 was sexy before...
A couple more:
Invincible. I'm not talking about the recent football movie, I'm talking about the made-for-TV martial arts movie. It's got some questionable acting and some pseudo-Eastern philosophy that I suspect was influenced more by Hollywood than the far East. It's also got some of the best snarky flirting I've seen in a while between the eeeeevil main bad guy and the used-to-be-evil-now-enlightened leader of the good guys. It's really got to be seen to be believed.
Bleach: Memories of Nobody. Even if you don't know Bleach, you need to see this movie. It's like a bad Sue fic given animated form. Seriously, if a fanfic writer tried this shit they would be justifiably reviled. It's hilarious. Also, Byakuya kicks so much ass that he steals the whole movie in less than five minutes with, like, two lines of dialogue.
2. A book: Finder by Emma Bull. This is probably my favorite book, period, and coming from me, that's saying something.

Land of the Blindfolded (manga series, nine volumes) by Tsukuba Sakura. This one is fantastic. Trust Zan. Read it.
Tellos v. 1: Reluctant Heroes and v. 2: Kindred Spirits (graphic novels) by Todd Dezago and Mike Wieringo. I can't really describe this one. You just have to read it. Trust me, it's worth it.
