I just emailed TOBA to see if I can indeed garner the contact information for Matthew C. Kniss-Captain's breeder!!!!! I could potentially have, in my possession, a racing photo or baby pictures :)

Lessoned with Myra this morning. Captain was suchhhh a good boy. Oddly enough, that little champ was better on the right(which is his bad side) especially in canter. Making progress?! Some how, a firecracker was lit under his ass, he was feeling gooood hehehe. I think Myra really likes him or rather us together. Every time she comes she comments on how well he responds to classic training, how he rewards my riding, position and today she commented on my hands. For every slightly brash and off hand comment, she comes back with a very nice and rewarding one. Today's topic? Rainrot. Because he was slightly wet from wallowing in the mud yesterday. Oh well. She wants me to try him in a Happy Mouth with a bean in the middle instead of the the single joint full cheek he has now, just to see if he sharpens a bit. I noticed this today too, that he spends more time than he should during warm up just thinking and making sure that every little thing will be fine. She said he mouths almost too much and to maybe try the flash. However, I think I'll try him in a Happy Mouth first(Tiffany has one that fits the bill perfectly). We'll see. According to her, I'm about *this* close to having where I want him...which is partially true. Right now, his canter(which she picked out) along with other gaits tends to end up a little bit strung out and then he just kinda falls apart. We're working on it; but she says she sees a lot of improvement everytime I ride! All in all, he was a Very. Good. Boy.

Officer interviews went well aside from one of the candidates that couldn't be bothered to show up, apparently. Some of the positions may be a bit of an upset but that's just too damn bad, if you didn't interview well or interview at all, that's your problem!

Now Rebecca wants to take Quint to Copper Creek to school him, which is exciting! We may end up having to take the 6 horse trailer, eeep! I think this week, Wiggleworm and I are doing the big please-put-your-goofy-red-butt-in-the-trailer-and-leave-it-there-dammit lesson. From past experiences, I've found that large trailers=horses that hop on. However, if we indeed need to take the 6 horse, you better bet that my little caterpillar will be putting his ass in that trailer prior to show day.

It's thundered and rained, school is almost over and there's a show right around the corner, perfect :-)
ETA-
a funny Myra comment.
We were working on getting the Ginger to step under himself and really propel with his hind inside. Myra's like, not too much forward, you're on a TB, they're bred to gallop, yes?
I was like..erm, well not this one. References the silly chestnut that's happily trotting and cantering along whilst making the contented snort/wuffle noise. HA.
