He's my one true love

Captain was AWESOME tonight. I guess in exchange for rockin' sitting trot, I recieved spot on canter transitions. So I guess a change up is good every once and a while.  I just don't think he's ready yet, muscle wise. He's really starting to develop a topline, but our sitting trot just isn't where I want it yet. The saddle change has DEFINITELY helped. He's softer, rounder and more willing. The skip is albeit gone :) I'm going to start longe lessons with him, next week. Longe lessons never hurt anyone, lol. I have problems expecting so much out of him, because I forget how little time I've had him. He learns so quickly and remembers things so accurately, that I feel like I expect him to progress faster than normal. So I think that longe lessons will be good for both of us!

I some how managed to fuck up my right knee. I don't know how, but damn, it really hurts :( And Julie's RSD is flaring,so she has to have surgery this week :( :( :(. They want to do a nerve block on her knees=torture, however I guess they're just going to go in and nick her nerves, a way to reset her nervous system, of sorts. It's scary, it all started from what was thought a stress fracture, but is actually an affected old break, which was bothered by a stubbed toe. I'm going to go hang out with her after surgery, so we can do Christmas and talk horsies, hehe.
