I hate PT tests
Well that was a wonderful morning... the pushup and situps weren't that bad. The run killed me though. Freakin cold outside air. Bleh.. I'm pretty sure I passed the bloody thing. The guy giving the times for the run was helping a girl with her arm or something when I ran by. So hopefully that'll be over and I won't have to worry about it for another year..
I've been looking into a new assignment to get me out of here (Arizona). There hasn't been too much, though I did come across a special duty assignment that could be interesting. Postal Specialist. The bases in the U.S. all use civillian workers, but the overseas stations use military workers for it instead. So what do you think? A1C Brian Gray the postal specialist? Could be fun, and it would get me out of the states during my enlistment.
We got new furniture in the dorms last week. Of course before we got the new stuff we had to take all of the old stuff out of there... furniture is heavy, and taking it down from the 2nd and 3rd floors just downright blow. Thankfully I should be getting a comp day or something for helping out with other people's stuff. There are some interesting rooms in the dorms. Thankfully we didn't have to bring any of the new stuff to out rooms. They had a contractor doing the work. You could help out and get paid $100 a day for it... but I was done after moving all my own stuff.
The new furniture consisted of a frame and boxspring for the bed, a three drawer dresser, a nightstand, a new comfy chair, and armoire (pretty much an entertainment center like thing), and a new fridge. And wow is that I nice fridge. We were just expecting just a little bigger fridge with a small freezer and cheapo microwave. But no, we got full out fridges and nice microwaves. That was pretty nice. Course I have this nice big fridge and nothing in it. hehe. I'm thinking of doing a food run later.
Christmas is just around the corner. I finished decorating my tree (my parents sent me a neat little tree) though I still need to put the lights up in my window. I've put some chirstmas cards up in my room. I'm trying to get a little festive cheer in there. I've been pretty slow to get any this year. Probably because there isn't too much to look forward too. Last year I had the happy fact that I was going to be at home for christmas last year and this year I'll be stuck here. I should be having Lauren come out for New Years hopefully, but that's still up in the air. Pending her getting an ID and me whether I'll have enough money or not. *sigh* tiss the season to be poor, hehe. I told that to a clerk the other day and she found that quite hilarious.
I know I just had a vacation. But I need another one.
