Absolutely no kissing, hugging, or sniping at each other, and this was my favorite Jo/Zane episode this season!!

Loving this Zane more and more. Not going into space, but still wanting to be the best candidate? That's the rebellious, chip on his shoulder, Zane that got lost in the other timeline. In reality, though, he only has himself to blame for being a felon in the first place. I would love for Zane to express to Jo how much he regrets (or at least how it affects him) the prison time.

My favorite bit of the episode was their last scene, however. When he is the one who tells her she should go on the mission, and that she is smart...well, that was what we've all been waiting for. Of course, she's smart. She's the freaking head of GD security!! Looks like Zane is gonna tutor her in whatever she's supposed to know...I love what Jo says to Zane about how they never worked on a friendship.

I think honestly the way the writers are rebuilding their relationship is genius. They did have plenty of flaws the first time around, and I wasn't that comfortable with them getting married. This time they seem like they connect a lot more. If you read between the lines of what Jo's hangups are about their relationship (why they don't "fit"), and why she hesitated when alternate Zane proposed...they're going through those issues and knocking them down one by one.

Still waiting on the day he calls her "perfect." :)

Oh yea, and a big thank you to the writers for putting Niall Matter in a sleeveless shirt and have him do a bunch of pushups...

Although their screen time was limited, it was so cool that they had a solo (and the best!) moment that was very different from what we have seen with them so far this season. ITA that Zane!now is very well written and he endeared himself all over when he without a beat said ".....you`re plenty smart".

.... and of course like you said, eye candy kudos to TPTBfor giving us NM in sweats and tank.(stop.drooling.now) ;)

On that ...did he not say to her "perfect" in the episode where someone else inhabited her body and persona?? I think it was in "Your Face or Mine?" S3.10 ....

You are 100% right. I had to look it up; I had forgotten!! After Jo got her body back in that episode, she asks Zane how she looks and he says "perfect."

However...in my shipper's heart, saying someone looks perfect not the same as saying that they "are" perfect. I just want more meaningful exchanges!!! (I say in a very whiny voice).

How bout Jo's look and little noise she made after Zane got in the car...definitely a thumbs up for his move and some respect from her, no doubt.

WOW talk about deja vu..I just watched that scene again a few minutes ago and was also saying "Go Zane" and Jo`s perplexed face...or was that admiration :) One just gets the feeling that she is falling more and more in love with Zane. Did you hear the driver call Zane "Doc"? I`ve always wondered whether he holds a doctorate or not.

I heard that Doc comment, too. I had assumed he had never gotten his doctorate in the prior timeline, but maybe he had a chance to finish up while he was in prison? I don't know.

The good thing is that this Zane keeps surprising her, showing her how he's different from the other guy.

I got the feeling in this episode that perhaps they have stopped sleeping with each other for a bit. Kind of a pause, perhaps.
