I have a feeling this post won't be read because people are not posting anymore, but this is not going to stop my need to write down ideas that are floating frantically through my head at this moment. Since people are now doing their own thing and living their life, I am getting a sense of what life may be like when I'm 25 and on my own. While I will have friends around, unless I meet my significant other, I will find myself quite content with living independently -- unless my jealousy of other people's lives cross my path at a particularly depressing time.
I just received two exams back from two different classes. One was a excessively low grade, the other quite high. I don't know what to make of it. So I will go with the feeling I received from excelling the second exam and put all my energy on schoolwork and studying. I have saved up some of my time on enjoying daily activities such as wondering why guys are walking around campus without their shirts on -- you may interpret this however you want -- and the smell of newly cut grass. I do love that particular smell; it reminds me of summertime with my grandparents.
So onward I go with schoolwork. I am currently studying for biochemistry, which is slowly starting to make sense again. And although I continuously ponder my choice in taking the class during lectures, I find myself applying the material -- yes, I am actually understanding BCHM II -- to my work on the LOS structure of a cell surface molecule on gonorrhea -- no, you do not need to know what that is, only that I am being productive. Even though James Watson was able to bypass the study of biochemistry in his undergraduate studies, he was both an idiot and a genius in doing so.
For the first time in a long time, I am doing homework ahead of the due date in anticipation for the extreme amount of studying I will be doing in the next two days -- which I hope will not lead to cramming of material.
I hope everyone else is doing well. I will continue this grueling schedule of work and studying until finals are over, and hopefully will have a paying job to look forward to in the near future.
