13th Blitz: [Action]

Jul 13, 2009 02:24

[Here's a very placated Tidus, sprawled out, napping near the river after a nice afternoon of nostalgia. He laid out to dry and ended up dozing off. There's a ball nearby, evidence of him doing some Blitzball practice. He's smiling comfortably in his sleep, though.]

!action, nap time, maybe amphibian

[while walking along the river, hoping to rinse some of the sand out of her hair, Alia of the Knife discovered a blond angel sleeping on the river bed.]

Sometimes this place... can be quite inviting...

[Where they her words, or that of the fat, grandfather that lived in her head?]

[Tidus remained in a lightly snoring snooze, unaware of the visitor. He wasn't the lightest sleeper.]

with out thinking she steps closer with intent to simply... well the Baron wants to watch, the old perv. But fate intervenes and she trips on his ball. No falling but enough to knock the ball away from him and into the water. The river current starts to pull the ball away before she is able to reach it.

Panic.]

Wake him... or drown trying to retrieve it...?

[A voice in her head answers Wake the... beautiful boy... So with out thinking, or denying the voice she squats down and put her hand on his shoulder, shaking him lightly.]

Excuse me... I hate to wake you but... I um.. your ball. I can't swim and it... getting away..

[He wakes up slowly, yawning, blinking at her.]

My... wha...

Oh... Oh! Damn! Augh! [He scrambles up and hurries over, jumping into the water and swimming to retrieve it.]

[standing on the shore, both Alia and the invisible Baron watch him swim with such power and talent, that she almost don't feel bad for knocking it in the water in the first place.]

My apologies! I just... I can't swim.

[He grabs it and swims to the edge, pulling himself up. The water's not that deep here, anyway.]

It's alright... how the heck did it get in there, anyway?

I was just walking by, rather embarrassingly, not paying attention, and I stumbled over it- and as you can see it roll right into the river.

You're such a skilled swimmer, I'm envious.
