Mary and I are driving to San Antonio tomorrow at stupid o'clock in the morning. She went to the library and checked out many, many audiobooks because she is much smarter than I am. I was at Borders a few nights ago ready to shell out far more cash than I thought was reasonable, when my dear, sweet Mary mentioned the word 'library'. so smart. So, now I have 39 CDs that are 79 minutes a piece, and they contain an unabridged reading of a Storm of Swords. Holy crap, thats a lot of CDs.
The reason we are driving to San Antonio is that Mary's sisters and mother and attached husbands and chit'lins, 15 in total, have been away from eachother long enough that they dont remember why they wouldnt want to spend a week with eachother in a 3 bedroom hotel suite.
Mary and I are starting to count down the days in Vegas. not exactly sure how many are left, but it's more than the number of scorpions I'd comfortably put in my mouth and less than the number of times I have played with my food. We still have a few things on the "must do before we leave" list, but even those are going to have to be prioritized. Lucas will be in town in a few weeks, so anything on the list involving the Declaration of Independence, 800 thread count sheets or Miniature Horses should get taken care of.
Thank god for that.
