Its been a while, huh?
Sure has.
I broke my streak of posting around once a month.
Oh well.
Mary finished school, and has been enjoying her summer vacation. She’s in IA as I type. She;s hoping to meet a few new humans on this trip. Piper, Olivia and another one that I cant remember.
In her absence, I have been making sweet sweet wet wet love to my pool.
I bought a doughboy pool. (they call them Doughboys here. I had never heard of that. An above ground pool. That;s what I got) 16’ round by 4’ high. 5,327 gallons of sanctuary from the 110+ Nevada summer. I’m really digging it lots.
I also reattempted the gallon challenge last night.
It did not go well.
It would seem that I am lactose incompetent.
Not only did I not finish, but I didn’t finish quite gloriously.
For those of you not in the know, gallon challenge:
Drink a gallon of milk in one hour or less, keep it down for one hour more.
Turns out when a gallon of milk sits on the tummy for an hour, mixing with the stomach acid…it turns to a gallon of cottage cheese. NOT awesome on the way back up. Especially considering that I couldn't stop laughing.
…So very glad my wife was far far away.
I went to LA and saw Lukiemon;s show a ways back.
I did not meet Neil Gaiman. He didn’t attend. And Jim Henson;s family changed their plans and had attended the week before. So no Kermit neither.
Also while in LA, also went to the Star Wars convention. Eh. Don’t get me wrong, I was happy that I went, but its not as much fun on my own.
While not in LA I went to a Weird Al concert. White and Nerdy. It was fun to have a concert in town. It took longer to get to than the ones I had seen in Cedar Rapids, but technically and spatially it was closer to my starting point.
The Wynn Casino is running a 2-for-1 deal on Spamalot tickets, so we may go see that on by Birthday. that'd be swell.
Mary and I are going to Seattle next week. Anybody been? Any recommendations?
