Wow--you know, you didn't have to say what happened (I hope I didn't sound prying--I didn't mean to if I did!). Since you DID say, however...sheesh! I dare say it's *completely* understandable why you dropped off the radar for a while.

Aren't doctors annoying? Yes, they ARE helpful, but it seems more and more often that some (most?) of them just want to say "here, take this pill" and be done with the patient. Hubby's cholesterol is HIGH, and his doctor said "you can change your diet, but it probably won't do much good...here's a prescription"--I think he should've pushed some other recommendations at the same time, rather than discounting one (even though Hubby needed the Rx, as dangerously high as his numbers were). Sounds like they did the same to you. Nope, don't know what's wrong, but you should take this pill to treat the symptom. :-P If the drugs haven't sorted it out, maybe they need to rethink their approach, hmmm?

OW. I've never broken a bone, so I have no idea what you went through. It sounds really *really* painful, though. (Especially the compound fracture. I know a hairline break would make me cry--something as serious as the other would knock me down.) Glad to hear the cast is off, so you can start getting some normalcy back. Poor Snoopy in the sling--hate he couldn't enjoy the ride.

Mombo sounds like she's doing good, but sorry for the prozac-related issues. Is it a natural adjustment to not taking the meds that's making her drive you nuts? Hope so, because then it should at least be short-term.

As for me and mine: Fishie #2 is going to give your Niece a run for her money in the cuteness department. *wink* Dana is scheduled to arrive by planned C-section on February 15th, so there's going to be competition! (Although your girlie IS a cutie-pie.)

Logan is still in speech therapy, and seems to be picking up more gestures than sounds. *shrugs* What can I say? He just isn't a talker.

Hubby is same-old, same-old...just like me. More aches and pains, I think. At least I can blame mine on pregnancy weight and hormones. I keep telling him, maybe we should look at getting a new mattress. Might help us sleep better and hurt less in the mornings, but does he listen to me? Noooooooo.

Seriously, Zambi. Glad to have you back. I've been missing your posts--including those letters to celebrities. They always make me laugh. (And I'd love to read a letter to Britney Spears. Honestly, that girl...)

well, I totally believe tht at times, medical intervention is needed. But to put someone on a pill without telling them to change their eating habits? that's just wrong. Mombo has type II diabetes, and her doctor has said that if she diets and exercises, she'll be able to slowly come off the medication. She might never be able to come off completely, but she is taking way less than she was a year ago. Some doctors beleive that medicine is the only answer, and that's sad.

Okay, your little girl will be the cutest infant. Mine is the cutest three-year-old. My BFF's nieces are the cutest six-and-four-year-olds. See how it works? We'll have a monopoly on all the ages soon.

Speaking of writing letters to celebrities, I have one in mind...no, it's not Brittany. She doesn't deserve any of my attention.

Mombo sounds like she's doing great handling her condition. Go, Mombo!

Let's see...we've got the cutest infant, three-, four-, and six-year olds...so it's ok to add Logan as the cutest two-year old. (At least until May.) Or we can just say he's the cutest boy, since wow-it's-all-girls-on-your-end!

And whom is this mystery celebrity? Hmmm.

(BTW, thank you for posting about Janice. I would not have a clue who she is but for you. Hubby gets such a laugh out of what I've read about her since.)
