Testing... Testing... 123?
So I thought I'd find out if anyone was still out here. Why? Well because I really wanted an objective opinion. Not to say that I'm going to listen to one, just that I wanted to hear some thoughts on the following...
I need to attend a short conference in Bucharest and I'm flying via Amsterdam. So instead of flying straight home after the conference I've shifted things around a little and will have a few days, to myself, in one of my favourite cities, Amsterdam. Now I travel quite a bit and I know that this is not always fair on my wife and two small kids but when this opportunity came up I couldn't resist. I feel a little guilty, but I'm far too selfish to pass it up. I did offer for my wife to come and join me, but she felt that it was too much time away from the kids as we're going to the states in June.
So my question is... should I or shouldn't I be orchestrating this little escape from reality. And If you were in my position would you do the same. Bear in mind, I'm pretty reclusive at the best of times and I enjoy my own company (maybe a little too much). This is not to say that I'm opposed to having anyone join me, I just couldn't find anyone mad enough to spend the money on three nights in sin city.
