Word on the Street (quick update)

School is still moving quickly.
They now know I pluck around on bass.
This makes me my Console class's resident bassist.
I need to quit being so nervous about that.

I dressed up as La Fee Verte (the green fairy of absinthe fame) for Halloween.
My grandmother helped me make the wings.
I won a $75 gift certificate to Amoeba Music for best costume.
I was the only student to dress up.
The lesson is: always dress up for Halloween.

Josh and I met up after class and took the bus to the West Hollywood revel.
I got stuck in a crowd current.
My wings were brutalized by the pushing.
I lost Josh for 45 minutes maybe.
We found each other again and high-tailed it outta there.
I don't think I like crowds of 500,000 for long periods of time :/.
We must have walked 7 miles between busses, subways, and destinations that night.

I've had a nasty pain in my lower right abdomen for 2 weeks.
I've checked into it as much as I'm able.
Talked to some nurse aquaintences, etc..
I have no fever, no nausea, no symptoms but terrible, constant pain.
The doctor's appointment is Monday.
It's looking like a stone of some kind or appendicitis that my body's contained in a cyst.
If this can't be fixed with a pill I'll be rather irritable I'm afraid.

I got back in touch with Chris (Merick) the other day.
I really missed him.
I can't believe we've strayed so far from each other but can still find such similarities in the choices we've made.

A little gothic-looking fellow calling himself 'David Bowie' approached me at the subway.
I was reading 'The October Country', short stories by Ray Bradbury.
That book is a magnet for... something.
David is a mortician.
We exchanged contact info.
I like collecting odd folk now and then.
Hollywood oozes them.

I'm still looking to start taking some lessons.
Just lessons in something I'd like to learn.
My loan is starting to disburse.
I'll probably grab those lessons sooner than later.
