Okay, so apparently they're doing some giant balloon skydiving space launch thing in town today. Why do I not know anything about this and I live here?! And also WTF is the point?

Nevermind, good old Roswell winds have cancelled yet another event.

I watched it happen online today. But I have to admit face palming every time they showed the mission control in Roswell. How did they decide to use the most confused guy there to talk to relay ground conditions to the jumping guy? Well at least the jumping guy didn't die and landed safely. Supposedly there is science data to be had in doing all this but it mostly just seems silly. *shrug*
