While in St. Louis I saw "SiCKO" and "Knocked Up," both of which I thought were really good for completely different reasons. That's not to say that "SiCKO" wasn't exagerrated; it was, but I completely agree with the underlying principles/truths of it.
I also read "Academy X," a novel written by a Horace Mann teacher exploring how money rules NYC private schools and the bizarre situations that occur when students get too ambitious and when parents throw their money and influence around to make sure their kids get everything the want. It was very well-written and at times incredibly comical.
Oh yes this all means that I'm back, fyi.
