I know I almost never post anything here beyond memes, now, but I'm finally home and I wanted to TELL IT TO THE WORLD AT LARGE.
For those curious, here's how the travelling-back part of my trip went:
DAY ONE OF TRIP HOME
-Wake up before dawn
-Breakfast before everyone else there for the Seminar got up, say goodbye to family
-Ride a bus for eight hours
-Get to hotel, discover that the street in front of it had been roped off to investigate/reinact a year-old robbery case
-Dinner, puttering around
DAY TWO
-Take a taxi towards touristy areas early in the morning, shop around touristy stores for presents for people back home.
-Climb an eight story (give or take a floor) ruined chapel from colonial days, grin at the adorable crowd of kids lurking around in these summer camp uniforms.
-Deal with traffic, go to the Baha'i Temple, visit people and pray.
-Dentist
-Hotel, putter around and lurk
DAY THREElskdjf.
-Get up at four
-Call another taxi when the one we'd made a deal with never shows
-Flight (three hours)
-Five/six hour layover in Mexico
-Flight (One or two hours)
-Drive home
-*Dead*
Now that I'm back, it's culture shock all over again. Texas has everything especially spread out, but the differences between Panama and the US in general are still staggering.
That, and everyone speaks English, now. AND IT'S FREAKING COL HERE. AAAAAAAAH.
... Yeah, all that aside, I'M BACK EVERYONE!~
tl;dr,
