My name would be Big Momma Euthanasia, even though I'm not too tall, I'm not a mother, and I think it's illegal to kill people during wrestling.
ARGH Livejournal I was trying to post this yesterday and you just wouldn't load the postage-page properly. See if I do any favors for you from now on, will you. >8(

So I typed out this journal entry and, in a fit of distracted brilliance, deleted it thinking it was something else. In the words of a friend: "... oops?"
Bah. Cake makes everything better, and I whipped up a quadruple portion of cookie dough yesterday, as well.
Thanksgiving was a massive affair that lasted from morning till after midnight. Starting out with furniture moving, continuing with my juggling helping out in the kitchen and doing schoolwork, and followed up by guests arriving... it was very tireing. It all culminated into one big and awesome dinner, though, so that was cool. And there was pumpkin pie, the left-overs of which were finished the next day.
After dinner there was a massive cleanup, and what had taken hours earlier to set up was reversed in about twenty minutes. That involved taking a heavy lazy-boy chair, two wicker seats, and a rolled up carpet from the basement, putting an improvised fifteen-foot table made of smaller tables and sheets of plywood all away, and dragging the TV and game-consolves from the back-room it had been stashed in. I think what impressed me most was when the guys all hoisted the couch up and deposited it back where it really went, all without waking the baby sound asleep on it.
In the way of guests we had five extra family members (four of which come frequently for their kids to homeschool with my Mom), two family friends from around here, and seven people from Costa Rica, two of which are old family friends from way back when. The other five from over there were Year of Service youth. One of them was a Science Communications major, one had studied economics, and yet another one was planning to be an emergency medical doctor. The other two hadn't started or decided much on life after highschool (one was from Iceland, where the school system's different and she apparently hadn't finished it yet,) but both of them seemed to enjoy the conversations that ensued. I know I did, especially considering that the Science Communications girl spends her work-time trying to get roboticists to talk in one-syllable words like normal people. Fun story-telling and absolute geeking-out-talk was generously had.
The couple of days after Thanksgiving consisted of me being exhausted and tired, with a sprinkling of angst scattered throughout. Actually, make that a thick layer of angst, and I'm not quite sure what's been causing it. It's like I'm constantly tired, and frequently trying not to snap at people. I'm also having difficulty in putting it all out of my mind. Whatever the cause or reasoning behind it, I still had a full day's workload to do for an exam on Tuesday, and since I'd copped out most of Wednessday I had to work Saturday to make up for it.
November is almost over, and NaNoWriMo is almost at an end. I didn't join, but I did go on a writing binge to sort of conmemorate it this year. My total wordcount is around 23k--Go me!
