So, Cats came to Dayton.
OH MY GAWD KAREN DIES OF ORGASMIC BLISS
I somehow managed to convince my mom to come with, and for us to get some really nice seats. We were on the floor and kind of far back, but pretty close to the center of the theater.
I'll admit, I was nearly crying throughout the entire overture and most of the first couple songs. I'm surprised my mom didn't ask me if anything was wrong.
In synopsis:
-Bombalurina is very, very sexy and wonderful.
-The guy who played Munkustrap definitely had his classical music training.
-Deuteronomy dances much more than he does in the video.
-And he has one hell of a singing voice.
-Mungojerrie and Rumpelteazer just don't sound right without the Cockney accent. Especially Rumpelteazer.
-Everyone is still after the Rum Tum Tugger's penis (and Devon's assertion that the Rum Tum Tugger is David Bowie's feline clone made my mom giggle a lot).
-The lady who played Jennyanydots used the word "titillated" in her bio. That makes me incredibly happy.
-Pretty lighting effects make Karen cry happy tears.
