"you can learn more sitting in the grass then in school"

C Block today was amazing. My study hall C block was held outside and I saw Shay and Mia and hung out with them outside. We went to the little playground near the track. It was just us, laying around on the grass. It was really great, sometimes you just need to have a time during school to go outside and just lay around doing nothing, just be. Mia pointed out that you can learn more sitting in the grass then in school. As silly as that sounds I agreed with her whole heatedly. Sometimes we forget that there such a thing as unintellectual knowledge and learning. Sometimes we forget to just be, to just live without any goal or anything to justify our existence.

“the professor”

E Block was just as awesome. I felt like an elementary school kid again. My english teacher took our class outside to play kickball, boys vs. girls. Having your only care in the world be if I’m gonna catch a ball flying at me is fantastic. During the game I was nicknamed “the professor” by one of my classmates because apparently I was gonna take everyone to “school” with my left footed kicking.

“Blood is thicker then water”

After school I walked to newtonville by myself to wait for my sister to pick me up there. On my way, someone I recognized from our school tried to steal my wallet. It was a bit messed up and ended with him running away after he missed my wallet and noticed that some guys on the street were looking at him. It’s funny because I didn’t say a word to him, it just kinda happened, ended, and then I went back to my business. Anyway, Once my sister picked me up I told her about it and she offered to kick the kid’s ass. I told her that I thought it wasn’t necessary. What was cool though, is that I knew in the back of my mind that once I told my sister what had happened, she was going to offer to beat up the kid. Of course I wouldn’t have wanted her to go through with it, but what’s nice is having an older sister you know looks after you and has your back no matter what. “Blood is thicker then water” I think the expression goes.
