Well, so according to the all powerful
anon meme, the two things I really need to work on are updating fic more often and posting personal entries. I can't promise super quick updates. I know I have a bad habit of posting horribly slow, though sadly a lot of that is due to the fact that I tend to wander from fic to fic depending on which one catches my interest at that specific moment.
I recently finished the next chapter of Training Edward Elric and that is now in the hands of my most awesome beta. Since that's one of the few fics I get betaed anymore, it will take a bit longer to get out, sorry. Also, I have quite a bit done on chapter 4 of The Game. But most importantly (to me anyway) I've been working on chapter 45 of Descent. I'm almost caught up with posting the back chapters here at LJ, so hopefully I'll have chapter 45 out sometime in the next month or two for those of you who have been waiting well over a year for it.
As for personal entries, hmm... I will try to do this too... So what to say... Well, recently (last week) I started a book called
Modern Times by Paul Johnson. I really like non-fiction books, and so far this one has been really good. Sometimes non-fiction books can be a little dry and boring depending on how they're written, which is sometimes a shame since the subject might be interesting in itself. I also really like fiction and have a special fondness for Michael Crichton, John Grisham, and Tom Clancy's books. Though there are plenty of other authors besides them that I like, I just don't want to be listing authors all day. hehe. The only books I really don't go for are romance novels. Not that they're bad, they're just not my thing.
What kind of books do you like? Do you have any favorites that you'd recommend? What is it about these books and authors that you like?
