Fun and games with new email server.
On Thursday we managed to move everyone onto our nice new email server in less that 1.5 hours. The last time the server was replaced it took about 4 days.
One of the directors rang up to congratulate us for a speedy conversion.
There had to be some spanners in the works however. All blame directed to the network manager who, despite repeated requests, failed to allow email out through the firewall or web traffic in. So for most of the day any external email was sitting there and anyone trying to use the webmail from outside found that they couldn't. Grr, why do we have to put up with this idiot.
