The entrance to the rat lair was located at the bottom of an abandoned well. At the bottom, a large hole lead to a fair sized cavern of purple rock and green, leafy ooze.
Gutira could not fit down the well, and so he asked that I promised to find a way for him to join me.

I was surprised that the rat lair was a cavern. This meant that I would not have to stoop while dispatching the inhabitants.

Seconds after I had completed my preliminary once-over, I was attacked by a half dozen of two-foot tall rat creatures. I will spare you the details, as I didn't get a good look at them until after they were no more than smeared spots of blood on the ground.

I continued on.

Eventually I found a high-ceilinged cavern. I called out mentally to Gutira, and had him collapse the ceiling, and come in. The cavern more than accomidated for his size.

((That was better still. I'll do even better tomorrow. I need to chronicle this mini-adventure is as sparse detail, yet while still keeping the story full enough. ))
