Putting reality on hold for a while

Today Zoë got to stay home from school due to the loss of her grandmother last night. She was miserable last night, but bounced back pretty well today. I let her be and let her process in her own time, and once in a while small questions about how granny was feeling or doing right now came up. And you had to answer as best you could. We talked a bit about the book Brothers Lionheart - which is about death and "the other side" - and she felt pretty good about that.

Anyway. Tomorrow it's back to the world again.
