Skiing

I'm leaving this afternoon. This means I have 101 small (and not so small) jobs to do before I leave.

And it's raining. Constantly. Melbourne-style rain, not Sydney-style: Sydney-style is 5-15 minutes of downpour, then 10-20 minutes of no rain, then another 5-15 minutes of rain, etc. Melbourne-style is the heavens opened, and it drizzles/rains all day (or all week), with periodic heavier rain every 30-40 minutes or so. But I'd forgotton how green the garden looks when it's drenched in rain. And it's falling over the catchment, for two days now, which is A-grade thumbs up material.

My list of jobs:
* Clean Room
* Take laptop to computer shop to get new battery/repairs (Repairs are not being done till I return, as a new battery will apparently cost me $270. And it still functions at the moment)
* Find all the emergency numbers
* Take my old clothes bundle down to St Vinnies
* Internet posts of absence
* Finish Book 2 of the Diaries
* Prepare parcel for Very Important Person
* Send parcel from the post office
* Pack Car
* Choose books to take with me
* Let Dad's computer have 4-5 hours rest so that the cable doesn't act up
* Bring in bins

Well, half of the rest of the list hinges on a single trip out, so I have to kick myself and get the Diaries finished. Everything else can follow.

And Rach - the cable went down last night, so I'm sorry I dropped out halfway through our convo. Hope to talk to you in the week before HBP!
