From yesterday:

Rhianna, 3, is taking my ballet/tap class at 10am on Sunday mornings and is having a small problem. She looks up, finger held out, face scrunched up, and whines innocently,

"I have a booooger."

I look at her finger, and there it is. I gesture for Christina, my wonderful helper, to go get a tissue. This scene happens about 8 more times to the point where Christina won't touch Rhianna's hands and is dousing herself in hand sanitizer. Nearing the end of class, the scene repeats itself once more.

Michaela looks at me and asks, "How to all of those burgers keep getting in her nose?"

Today: Olivia, the 7 year-old queen of cliches, was asked by me very sternly, "Would You Please HAVE A SEAT?"

She looks at me, twirls her hair, smiles and says, "Can I request a Lawyer?"

Later, I asked her to repeat her dance step once more a little faster, to which she replied, "I'm pullin my hair out here!"

On a somewhat unrelated subject: The last time I went home, my mom informed me that the school system had decided that the method in which I was tought to write was a failre. How's that for motivation? We were taught to write fon-et-ic-ly and somewhat stream-of-conscience. Grammer and spelling are not my close friends. Too bad, if it weren't for that, I may think I can write!
